A little late…I’m trying to post these chapters the last week of each month. This one was delayed, because I had actual work to do for once…actually, I’ve translated the whole of the main story of the novel, but I edit the chapters I’ve translated (to make it sound more natural/fix any mistakes) month by month.
By the way, this novel is being re-released in bunko format this month. The new design is quite attractive too! Too bad I already own the books…The rest of the novels will be released in bunko format as well.
I’m doing this purely for fun/Japanese practice and make absolutely nothing for this, but you should buy the original books if you can! They’re illustrated too 😉
Three
Kunitaka, who had just arrived home from the Army Department Headquarters that were his place of work, suddenly stopped in his tracks in front of his father’s second floor bedroom.
There was a creaking sound, just as he was about to open the door.
He hated seeing his father, but there was also no way he would run away either. He stayed where he was.
However, it just got all the more worse, coming from the bedroom, was none other than Fushimi Yoshiyasu, who associated with his father under the pretext of being his secretary.

Angst! Reunions! Class differences! Angst! On that note, here’s chapter two.
Two
For the first time in a long while, Kunitaka indulged in indolence. When he woke up, it was almost ten o’clock.
it was a Sunday, surely, he could take it easy today. It wasn’t that the lifestyle of the army was so rigid, but he felt as if he couldn’t breathe. Every so often, he wanted a break.
